A revised plan for the housing development in the fields opposite Harry Stoke Road has been submitted to South Gloucestershire Council. It is a significant change to the original plans that were given outline planning permission by the Secretary of State in 2006. The main differences are the proposal to build 4 storey apartment blocks at the highest points of the site instead of the lowest, and not to provide a ‘rural edge’ where the development is close to existing settlements.

We have started an action group to ensure that South Gloucestershire planning officers are aware of our objections and reject the plans. Particularly as they do not adhere to the conditions set out in the outline consent and agreed design codes document.

We need everyone in Harry Stoke Road to provide their comments and objections to the application on the South Gloucestershire website.
